YAIR MATE, Time to get a Reality Grip:

Yair Mate 23-2-2021

Shitty Day, Life So Unfair.

So yesterday starts pretty much as the day before and before and the day before.

A day light paddock walk from their cages doggy run, lest they do it on the lawn.

A cup of tea and refill, followed by the malnutrition breaking of the nightly fast.

However, the unfolding day had many surprises hidden in store.

Out of the shed comes the bird poo covered, long neglected tinny.

Fresh fuel mix to make the outboard roar for the never fail starts of before.

Battery charged the night before, for the environmental electric motor, right.

Waiting patiently for my guest of note, for promised picture-taking from the boat.

Hit the water the glass peaceful zone supreme, capturing nature she has never seen.

Something wrong we are going slow, more truth to say we have now stopped to go.

The reliable battery mate, has pulled the pin, today of all days to decide to pack it in.

Not to worry for I am the man with options in store, go straight to part ‘B’ of the plan.

Prime fuel, connect kill switch, rope, ha ha no go, today of all days decides to be a bitch.

Heading to back of boat give battery one more try, came the time when all plans went awry.

A little trip on the way down south, lurching into passenger, while the little boat leans a bit.

Now all plans have long gone away, I hear some words for what is about to come into play.

“I am all tangled cannot move” me on top, ever slowly the list turns boat bottom to the top.

Vessel now on shore, empty, drain the floor, car keys, phone and camera sadly are no more.

Manhandled boat to ramp, call to wife for spare keys, knowing this will bound to do the rounds.

Home ‘Did all that just happen’ just need some cheer so fridge I turn to for an ice cold beer.

Joke for the day is not done, as bottles from the door come flying out smashing on the floor.

I observe the scene, glass everywhere, say ‘a fukit’, grab another and leave everything there.

Time to sit quietly, do not move or touch anything, be still, lest the day yet has not had its fill.

REALITY CHECK:

On this same day:

As I sit in reflection of my days events of life so tough.

Come news of others whose times ARE truly rough.

Two suicides, one quite old and another very young.

Grief and pain of their families, searching for answers.

Old Mates despair of being unable to farewell a loved one.

Blame game is totally inappropriate as my heart truly bleeds.

POSITIVE EPILOGUE TO THE BOATING TALE:

· As promised I have provided both above and below water views.

· Unforgettable experience.

· There are some great pics on two devices still there…….somewhere

· The out board needs a service.

· Battery obviously needed replacing so new one will be better.

· The lagoon fish are enjoying the sunk phone, while the battery lasts as they gave a warbled watery answer when we rang it.

· I pick my friends well, what a great sort and sport.

In one week we will have a new phone, new car keys, new camera.

Time to have a laugh at the petty shit and find what is real.

What could possibly go wrong with such a peaceful setting ?
