ALWAYS WILL BE THE IN THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE!!
LOSING SEARCHING and FINDING TALE 14-9-2023
You know the drill, you put it somewhere easy-find and sound.
Until comes the time to recollect and it is nowhere to be found.
Search the cupboards, all spots, reach to far corners of your brain.
After two long days of searching high and low, a find was all in vain.
SO AFTER ‘MANLOOK’ UNSUCCESSFUL COMES THE TIME FOR DEEPER SEARCH
Slowly, cupboard by cupboard, draw by draw, searching for the elusive:
“Travelling Tea Pot” without which one cannot leave, essential item to start each day just right.
The ‘teabag’ option is mostly all that is on offer as I make each ‘age gap year’, travelling mile.
Ha Ha a find, no bloody pot, but a stash of memories of ‘Billy’ my little mate, lost nine years ago.
Cards and letters from his and our friends sharing our grief took much time and transported me back.
Back to the time of tragic shock, a period still so vivid in detail, it was like no time had passed at all.
THE TIME AND MEMORIES WAS IN REALITY STILL ‘NOW’ AND WILL ALWAYS BE SO.
THE EPOLOGUE:
While reading cards and thinking back, I could feel the presence of Billy looking over my shoulder.
So never one to miss an opportunity I posed the question into the air.
“Surely mate you must know where the bloody pot has hidden itself”
Only 2 minutes to walk straight to 'easy find' spot in the white toolbox.
