Beware the money god will bite your bum.
You have been fleeced, feel like you’ve done
Thought your money god reigned supreme.
Sometimes bit by bit he will sweep you clean.
Invaded brain always thinking you need more.
And you watch integrity march out your door.
The bigger money pile that you have realised.
The more you have, the more you are despised.
Strange concept I know but sometimes its true.
That is the style the money game tends to do.
The money focus for the kids is what you say.
‘I did it tough’, they sure deserve a better way.
A little fact of life lies in this snippet of good oil
True appreciation never comes without the toil.
Come the time you’re called to leave this earth.
Be no choice but to leave behind all your worth.
To the world of land sharks waiting every day.
Watching for someone to become their prey.
Where there is a will , there oft comes the claim.
Family loyalties forgotten, flushed down the drain.
All this you can watch from your spot on high.
You worshiped the money god, wondering why.
