'SPRING TIME' LOVE IS IN THE AIR

SEXPLOSION RENEWING, LIFE GENERATING, PROCREATION EVERYWHERE

AN OLD SAYING:

"If you have to measure to calculate the result may be small.

If you can actually see the change, no need to measure at all"

How amazing is the hidden world of natures signals that make our world go round.

They just go about their business, despite mankinds best efforts to disrupt and manipulate.

Only to whinge and bawl when the system changed, creates extremes not to their liking.

What looks like a morning mist, is not a mist, but a nature extravaganza of plant mating ritual.

AN EXPLOSION OF MILLIONS OF MALE POLLENS LOOKING TO MATE

Love is in the air everywhere.

Spring spreads the urge to share.

Birds do it, Bees do it, Animals too.

Trees procreate to join the club is true.

During early to late spring, many trees release a large amount of pollen.

Pollination season generally begins in late winter or early spring and can continue through the spring

Characterized by the release of pine pollen to undergo the reproductive cycle.

Pine trees have both male and female cones, with the female cones being responsible for seed production.

Pine cones are often mistaken as the seeds of pine trees, but they are actually the female.

Inside the female cones, two seeds are wedged in each scale, and hundreds of seeds in a single cone.

Pine trees have male cones that produce pollen to release pollen, which is then carried by wind or insects to reach the female cones.

Most common method is wind dispersal, facilitated by the presence of wings on the seeds to catch the wind and be carried over long distances.

Once the pollen reaches the female cones, it fertilizes the eggs, initiating development.

Fertilized eggs grow to provide a protective environment for seed maturation.

“Pine trees are unique in that they can also reproduce through serotiny, a process where the heat from forest fires triggers the release of seeds from pine cones to ensure regeneration after a fire.”

Animals play a role. birds consume seeds to inadvertently aid in their spread.

By employing wind, animals, and environmental triggers ensures the propagation of their species and contributes to forest biodiversity and ecosystem health.
