Rap Dance, the Missing Wallet 5-2-19
They front the bar, order ice cold beer.
Duly produced with professional cheer.
That will be five dollars for your brew.
Then starts the dance, mine host knew.
With words he’s heard many times before.
No surprise when he came through the door.
“Oh bugger I have left the wallet at home.
I would not have ordered if I had known”.
He starts the moves with perfect rhyme.
Sorry mate, cover me please just this time.
Stance starts with face of surprise and hide.
Both Arms and legs are placed out and wide.
They pat each pocket, front, side and back.
All the same, each one proves the money lack.
All the while the face retains a surprised look.
But mine host has already read him like a book.
While he watched the dance for free beer try.
He had emptied the contents completely dry.
The first beer long gone, it is no longer on show.
Any chance of a beer, he is just wanting to know.
