NORMAL-What Exactly Is 'Normal'?

'Normal' comes from the Latin 'normalis,' which means 'made according to a carpenter's square.

In present day, it's perhaps most often used to mean ...conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected or regular pattern :

A REASON TO CONNECT WITH OTHERS TO LET THEM KNOW THEY ARE NOT ALONE

Some connections are predetermined at levels way above our conscious.

Here I am reading an article in a publication 'Weekend Magazine' that I never buy or read.

All about loss of sons shared by a Perth playwrite Tiffany Harper and singer Nick Cave from Melbourne and more recently Los Angeles, never heard of either of them before.

Their common bond was shared journeys of loss through writing and poetry.

We need to be sharing our little wins.

Revovery always starts in baby steps.

First by the minute, perhaps to the hour.

Going great until by surprise a trigger.

Transports one back to the start again.

As we mostly drift along in our normal life.

With little thought of our own in major strife

News report gives rise to brief concern of life gone.

Then in next time grab the airwaves burst into song.

Tragic but quite separate from the lives your own.

Your treasures that make up the essence of a home

As you return to the mundane of your daily chores.

Complaining maybe of others annoying minor flaws.

Then comes that dreaded knock on your door.

With message that throws your life on the floor

When anger dulls, albeit with enduring pain.

Wondering when will you find normal again.

Sobering, is normal has no meaning any more.

Knowing that our time is changed forever more.

Tis a club not chosen.

For it breaks the heart.

As your world goes black.

Lost ones expect you restart.

Encouraging, watching your back.

Life dreams should not be frozen.

How do we live the best we can on our earthy ride.

Tis the way our loved ones expect for us to decide.

There is light, there has to be. must keep on talking.

Striding into future into sometimes unknown walking.

Blessed are those that strive to help others fragile core.

Sharing what works for them, help others find that door.
