Been a big couple of months one way and another with a new member of the family on the ground.
Anyway Hallie and I were chewing the fat while her Mumma was having a snooze and Grannie Gerda was cooking up a storm for us all to eat.
So in the absence of any books to read I had to make one up and do a verbal variety.
Big Hairy Scary Black Bull:
Every Sunday Hallie had a picnic on the river bank.
With friends, ice cream cake and lots of cool drinks.
Until one day they saw a hairy scary big black bull.
It began running towards them rocking his long horns.
With a screech and a yell they took off for the scrub.
Running fast as they could, they hid behind a tree.
But he ran just as fast and hid behind the tree too.
The friendly bull looked very sad and started to cry.
The hairy scary black bull wasn’t scary any more.
He was scared to be alone, wanted some friends.
Hallie invited him to share some ice cream cake.
Home time, the bull to the scrub and Hallie to bed.
