Wow what timing when one needs a reason to keep trying.
Just as the brain and pen decides to take a break from letting any words flow, this testimonial support decides to present itself. Thank you so much Bren !
I guess it is a prime example of the frog and the pelican. "Never Ever Give Up"
Hello Hamish,
I loved Creation from Inspiration and Creations from Generations and found with every poem either a sense of who you are or who you wrote about and I think your readers will crave more.
The appeal to all generations is with your nature views.
You will win over every nature loving person with Sick of Drought, The Tree, Our Changing Landscape, Never, Now 25 Years On, Habitat for Production and In Defence of Joe Blake. Well written, couldn’t have said it better, well done! These sentiments are palatable and very relatable.
Our desperation to save the environment and anger toward our political leaders are felt throughout Australia.
I would love to see these and more in a new separate publication and would definitely recommend it to everyone I know.
You write with humour and I love it, you make me giggle, poems like Unfortunate View and How to Start The Day, Grass and Farts are funny as and sweet.
You also share life lessons learnt – even advice so beautifully given to young parents (with 4 yo Profile) and how fragile and short life is, are all heartfelt. A Message to My Men, Pick a Day, Any Day, Wow of Life, The Dome, Fly like and Eagle, Life and Death Entwined, The Train. Not to mention With Challenges come Rewards and ‘No Trouble At All’. Love! Love!

Untitled and Nightmare gave me a deep and profound sense of longing. Man Looks Up to the Sky is so true. For Down the Gully reminded me of my dad. I see a Man, Prayer and Maddy are heartbreaking (world war), while Night Fantasy made me think of utter freedom, and Why, 28-1-19 and Don’t You? again made me laugh. Oh and Daisy made me cry, it’s a beautifully written requiem.
Your poems about your son, remembering what you said, the poem made me happy for/with you, as you connect or reconnect with him and have us (readers) connect with you (on your journey). The bond is everlasting.
Glamping was my favourite as I love roughing it out when we go camping. I liked the Piece of Mumma’s Garden’ as I love geraniums too (the sight and smell of them always draws me closer).
Something About and Sunday Morning Coming Down takes you there to the tranquil serene space, it’s very soothing.
Living in the moment and being upbeat is a thread throughout.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. You have talent my friend. Well done.
