THIS FORM OF TWISTED WIRE AND PIPE SPANS THE AGES WITH NEW LIFE
IF THEY COULD ONLY TALK THEY WOULD SURELY TELL A TALE OR TWO
PERCHANCE A MESSAGE OF PAIN AND SUFFERING OF THOSE THAT WENT TO WAR
Five male generations have already strode these gates.
Now gen six is on the land to pass through with his mates.
As in life, not all stays the same, the address is in a new place.
The memories and the history, time will never ever replace.
Biggest Flood was in 1890 until the Biggest in our time 1976
GATE OF AGES OF DIFFERENT TIMES AND FACES:
Five generations have passed through these gates.
Each of them an individual trail with their own tale.
Fate determines each direction, different ways thru life.
Some to school and some to work and some to war.
To freedom fight for country, far away in foreign lands.
Making passage through the gates, leaving home behind.
From mustard gas and horse drawn cannons in the mud.
To steamy jungles, narrow trails, again sloshing in the mud.
At wars end, among the lucky, to be passing through gate again.
On bike return came one quote “By Gum Mum my Bum is Numb”
Generation 2 and 3 of WW! And WW11 did their part.
Gen number 4 missed Vietnam by birthday date selection.
Generation number 5 saw only peace, on our Aussie land.
Addition in generations number 6 story yet to tell their own.
Enough, enough, of the new war talk by current leaders now.
May we always pray to keep the gates clear of our men to war.
