Lived and breathed Seasons wet and dry you know.
Been both rich and poor, done without you know.
One has to live through same, to truly understand.
With 5 kids born and raised on this piece of dirt.
knows every tree shrub and sandhill you know.
Plants grown from seed, now on show, you know.
Worked through sweat on brow and soaking shirt.
Age just does not miss a soul with its heavy hand.
Comes the time for all including you, you know.
When what came easy, is no longer fun, you know.
Time takes control for whatever you have planned.
Every spanner has spot, every structure has a tale.
Moving on transfer time, is very tough, you know.
Far tougher than any rough of 40 years, you know.
There comes the time when to forge another trail.
So when you find yourself down the track.
Things go wrong, no longer you, you know.
Your achievements are on file, you know.
Just keep looking forward, don’t look back.
