Patrons new or old, all are made welcome mates.
Melissa runs an outback pub, a good one too at that.
Serves ice cold beers, welcome smile, both never flat.
A beady eye making sure no one is dry
Why drink here, all above, is reason why
Watches the till and keeps glasses full.
Accepts clients may sprout some bull.
When youth have crossed the safety line.
Mine host directs them to a bed just fine.
To keep them safe, just like they were her own.
Not on her watch a call from policeman’s phone.
Melissa spends her day between pub and her woolly fam
Caring for the daily needs of saved mob of poddy lambs.
When looking after her ‘grandies’ when they come to stay.
Keep her running, one minute playing, how did they get away.

Bert the silent partner in so many ways.
Reserves his words, gets on with his day.
Has a dry funny bone that is alive and well…
That comes to the fore with a chuckle spell.
Real top bloke, respected local, under western sky
To meet him, there will be no reason to wonder why
Drives his truck to contribute to money flow.
This outback team are not the type for show.
Runs some cattle scattered all about on the side.
In heat and dust, hard work under hat brim wide.
Quiet man of actions not known to putting others down.
More so a solid local citizen of Tibooburra and surrounds.
More Widely Known as “Bert” but not Christened so.
His mother named him “William” a name not all know.
You won’t find him through the day guzzling in the bar.
More likely in the truck or shed, somewhere near or far.
