A Camping, not Glamping Scene

When the camping pic was taken I was slightly younger than now.

My sons and nephews were even younger.

They are now all married men.

When dropped off, some were told:

"Do what you are told and if your uncle looks dry, give him a cold beer"

Glamping 11-6-19

Be hard to find ‘Glamping’ in my camp.

If caught in the rain, you will get damp.

You’ll experience and feel the smell of wet.

Sweet aroma of rain on earth, you won’t get.

If you should choose to stay in your metal tent.

Complete with all the mod cons society sent.

Did you not strive to be away from stress of life.

To connect with nature, from trouble and strife.

News from your television remains just as bad.

When watched from the house or travelling pad.

When you’re camping far away from your home.

Feel natures signals, be brave, turn off the phone.

The weather gets warm, get out, go for a swim.

Far better than staying in your air conned tin.

When the cold chill creeps into the night air.

Get round the camp fire, your stories to share.

While the camp oven smell wofts into the night.

Drinking a cold one and feeding pangs of appetite.

A gas stove alternative an inside meal you prepare.

The taste and the atmosphere will never compare.

With dew on your face when you wake in the morn.

Best viewing place for magic colours of break of dawn.

No tents, just swags and food and men young and old
